Long Island 's New York - Nassau - Suffolk County Greenhouse Family pictures
If you’ve never been to the Bayport Flower Houses in Suffolk County, NY … GO! It’s so cute. It’s nothing big and crazy, but it’s such a cute little spot to visit and one of my new favorites to take photos at. In fact, I consider it a hidden gem and love the fact that it isn’t over the top.
If you’re not familiar with these faces yet, they come to see me multiple times each year. So, I love that they are open to switching up locations and doing different things each time. Their photos are a good example of how you can change up your family photos to capture memories and milestones. Right now, they’re working on a good variety of locations with me, and I can’t wait to add more later this year!
Capturing the Memories Among the Chaos
Let’s talk kids. I have a suuuper active one, and at times, it’s rough as hell (can we be honest here?) And in those rough stages where you feel like there’s no way on earth you would subject yourself to a photoshoot with them, I’m here to reassure you that I won’t let the whole session fall apart – even if it feels that way to you. I know this is a struggle that many parents have and feel that they cannot have the session they desire. After all, there’s only so much you can do with kids who don’t want their picture taken.
Listen, I get it! I totally, 100% get it! But when It’s all said and done and I look back on my own gallery or a client’s gallery, those in-between, rough moments are some of my favorites. The best thing about hiring a professional photographer is that it’s my job to help you capture those sweet moments. (Which relieves you from forcing those frantic iPhone family selfies.) Trust me – I’ll get some good ones for you!
This is life you guys. This is the life that our kids live, and they all go through it. That doesn’t mean we stop taking pictures and stop documenting our time together. We embrace it. Take it as it is, and go with the flow because this will still be a time in your life to treasure. Not to mention, that “stubbornness” is really bringing out so much personality. So, let it be and just relax. I bet I can make your next family photoshoot a fun one. ;)
